The images are almost complete and here’s the final draft of the image I’ve been showing as Rhardo progressed through his graphic design process. At the time of this writing only one image remains! I’ve inserted the images into the script and you can view them in their full detail form my clicking on the image in the script.
The final revision has been made to text in chapter 1 of The American Mastiff’s first saga Toe the Line. Rhardo, the graphic artist, has completed the flat colors of the first chapter but is going to add shading and depth to the scenes. For now, I’ve posted the digital sketches to the comic’s Facebook Fan page http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-American-Mastiff/238577615759. I continue to be impressed with Rhardo’s work. I’m ready for chapter 2 to go into production already LOL. G2GFFU3FTDAM
The digital renderings now have flat color! Once Rhardo puts his final magic on the flat color you’ll see were this image fits in the storyline along with the rest of the images. The newest novel graphic hero, The American Mastiff, is coming…
Continued progress and the illustrations have gone from scanned hand sketches to digital drawings. The coloring has begin and the first chapter of The American Mastiff’s title Toe the Line will be published before to long.
Just a quick update. There’s been a delay in publishing the first chapter as I’ve had to prioritize a few things. However, late last week Rhardo sent me pencil drawings of the illustrations that will accompany my story. I hope you all appreciate it as much as I do! Rhardo has done another fantastic job with the sketches and I’m looking forward to the final colorized pieces. Then, I’ll be posting them with the first chapter of the story.
Here’s a sample sketch!
Here is the The American Mastiff Logo. I’ll soon begin obtaining promotional products (e.g., shirts, cups, Frisbees for dogs, etc.). In the next month or two I’ll also be posting online surveys about the characters and taking you opinions and thoughts on the characters, storyline, and issues of today compared to what The American Mastiff is going through.
Feel free to click on it to download and share it with friends!
The cover is coming along and that means the opening of the comic will become available soon! The American Mastiff will be like Superman, Black Panther, Iron Man, Wolverine, Batman and Captain America all rolled into one and yet nothing like them at all. You’ll want to tune in on the epic comic that will be like no other.
Character profile images and backgrounds to be revealed in various “versions” after they have been introduced in the comic storyline.
He’s no Captain America, his past is not as dark as Batmans, his wealth is not as deep as Iron Man’s….
You’ll need to come along for the ride to see what makes The American Mastiff interesting, different and modern.
He’ll be like no other hero you’ve heard of, he’ll fight evil on the American/Mexican border, and he’s continually dealing with internal strife of “pure race” while, still, helping all traces and races within America borders but most particularly in the city of Charlemagne, Texas.
Once the final cover of the comic is complete the American Mastiff story will begin to be unraveled. Return to learn his origin, philosophy, nemesis and how he manages all that along with his secret identity and the love of his life.
